Customer Care Associate

Petal + Hive is looking for a part-time team member who enjoys connecting with people, learning new things, and helping create a warm, welcoming store experience.

This is more than a traditional retail job where the goal is to ring up purchases. We want our customers to feel comfortable asking questions, exploring products, and learning what may work best for their individual needs.

This position includes some weekday morning shifts, along with some weekend availability.

You do not need to be a skincare expert when you apply. Curiosity, kindness, good judgment, and a willingness to learn are more important to us than knowing every ingredient or product.

About the Role

As a part-time team member, you will:

• Welcome customers and help them find products that fit their needs
• Ask questions about skin concerns, sensitivities, preferences, and routines
• Learn about clean beauty, skincare ingredients, fragrance, nail care, and wellness products
• Restock, clean, organize, and improve displays
• Help keep the store welcoming, organized, and ready for customers

Because we are a small business, everyone helps with both customer-facing work and behind-the-scenes tasks.

You May Be a Good Fit If You:

• Genuinely enjoy talking with and helping people
• Know how to listen before making recommendations
• Are curious about ingredients and how different people may respond to products
• Understand that there is rarely one perfect answer for every customer
• Are comfortable saying, “I’m not sure, but I can find out”
• Are dependable and able to work independently

Retail, beauty, skincare, or wellness experience is helpful, but it is not required.

Details

Store Location: 510 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (in the Algonquin Building)

Part-time position (approximately 8-24 hours per week; weekday mornings and some weekends required)

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the store for extended periods
• Able to stay active and engaged while standing and walking during shifts
